FUSE\u00a0was a\u00a0Toronto-based Canadian non-profit arts and culture\u00a0periodical\u00a0published by Artons Cultural Affairs Society and Publishing Inc.\u00a0FUSE\u00a0was one of\u00a0Canada\u2019s longest running alternative art publications. Throughout its 38 year history, the focus has been the interchange between art, media, and politics. The magazine published its final issue in Winter 2013,[1]\u00a0under the editorial direction of Gina Badger. Centerfold, an arts newsprint magazine addressing the lack of critical discourse within\u00a0artist-run\u00a0culture, was founded in\u00a0Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1976.[1]\u00a0In 1978,\u00a0Centerfoldrelocated to Toronto, and in 1980, the name of the magazine changed to\u00a0FUSE. The focus of the magazine shifted from “an interdisciplinary artists” magazine to “a cultural news magazine”.[2]\u00a0The publishers of\u00a0FUSE\u00a0incorporated as Artons Cultural Affairs Society and Publishing in 1984.Centerfold\u00a0Founding editors:\u00a0Clive Robertson\u00a0and Marcella Bienvenue.
